Here at Build a Body, we are passionate about Health, Fitness, Nutrition, and Wellbeing, and understand that time is important to our clients.

 

We are a Personal Health and Fitness Training Service offering a variety of 121, group, mum specific and corporate  fitness training tailored towards your individual needs. As time is valuable to our clients we also offer our Online Personal Training Package which offers all the benefits of our face to face packages but allows you to train as and when you like without having to commit to a specific time or date.

Whether you are looking to lose weight, tone up those stubborn areas, gain muscle, pre or post natal or recovering from an injury, we have the expertise to assist you to achieve your goals in the most effective way possible.

Stuart Mason

DIRECTOR / PERSONAL TRAINER

" With over 10 years of industry experience, Like many of you reading this I have worked in an office and understand that time is important to my clients."

Stuart has been in the Fitness Industry for over 10 years, with a degree in Sports Science he has a wealth of experience in Weight Loss, Weight Management, Pre and Post Natal, Injury Rehab and Sports Conditioning.

I have always had a passion for Sport and Fitness. From a young age I swam for county, and in my teens fought for Junior GB Judo team.

Like many of you I have worked in an office for over 7 years, sitting at a desk looking at a computer for 8 hours a day, with little or no time for the gym. I understand the time restraints and commitments  my clients face. I like to keep my fitness programs exciting and interesting, and believe fitness and nutrition should fit your lifestyle and shouldn't be about fad diets.

Carla King

CO FOUNDER / PERSONAL TRAINER

" Mother of 2 beautiful children and competitive swimmer, I understand how trying to fit exercise into your schedule can be hard. "

Carla has always been passionate about health and fitness, she has a degree in health and fitness management and a diploma in personal training.  Carla has a special interest in swimming, weight loss and body composition.

 

I am a competitive swimmer, achieving 9th for 50 m freestyle in the European masters London 2016, and double British Champion at Nationals 2018.  I love being active and challenging my body and my ability both physically and mentally.

I believe it is important to find 'your' right balance, everybody is individual with personal needs and goals, and I want to be there to help you achieve what you and your body is capable of in a fun and challenging way.

PERSONAL TRAINER

" A passion for helping people improve their Fitness, Andy embarked on his own Fitness Journey  losing 30lbs in 2020 to help improve his own well being and fitness....." 

Andy began his fitness career in 2019 after having spent 13 years working in a Care Home specialising in Dementia Care. Alongside this, he has also run an agency offering web design and online marketing. So he's used to the balancing act of work and life. 

He's qualified via NASM as a Fitness Instructor, a Personal Trainer and in Optimum Performance Training. He is also part of the Advanced Coaching Academy. 

Andy's passion is helping everyone improve their fitness, even if sports are not the priority. Like Stuart, Andy has spent many years at a desk and suffered the back pain and poor posture that this can bring. Through gym work, he's overcome these. He lost 30lbs in 2020 and hates fad diets and fatloss supplements. Do it properly via food choices and exercise - the results are more long term and the process more enjoyable. 

Andy's main sport is cycling, mainly offroad, although if time allowed he'd play more golf and go snowboarding. 

He also has a passion for looking at the bigger picture. Alongside his wife Kate, they have a brand called Kate and Andy who's motto is "healthy body, healthy mind, healthy planet" and they look holisitcally at life, not just one area. Andy has always loved cars and runs an electric car YouTube channel called Electric Petrolhead where he helps people move to electric cars and shares the health benefits of doing so - he was even on the BBC.
